Happy birthday, dad.

Cayman Islands

Today is a little bit better than yesterday. Not that yesterday was all that bad. Today was my father's birthday. I was planning on visiting his grave but it is on the other side of the island so I didn't bother. Instead, I sent him a forget me not flower on I always leave flowers and messages (in binary code) there. It is my way of remembering him. He would have been 85 years old today. I wish he was still here to see where I am now. I have evolved from the young little girl he once knew... into a big old fat lady loljk.

Daddy, if you are watching me from above, I hope you are proud of the woman I have become.

I was groggy at work today and a little bit disoriented because of the lack of sleep, but I managed to get through the day. I was so out of place this morning that I ran over a parking block πŸ˜… It was only around lunch time I noticed a big chunk of metal sheet hanging from the hood of my car. I temporarily had it fixed by the gas station, and then went straight to the mechanic after work. Cost me $55 in total. πŸ’ΈπŸ’”

I finally admitted to my colleague/friend Tammy that I am so scared to enter a new phase in my life. But guess what, that's absolutely fine! Saying it out loud in felt so... liberating.

Cheers to life 🍻
